Post-graduate doctoral education is a basic form of participation in the education of research specialists. CPS post-graduate students are taught in 3 major subjects of study: Statistics and Demography (code 05.02.06), Sociology (code 05.11.01) and History of Bulgaria (code 05.03.06).
A total of 20 post-graduate students were assigned since the establishing of CPS: 14 of them are on full-time postgraduate studies, 3 on external PhD training and 3 on PhD self-training. The scientific and educational degree PhD was conferred to 5 of them and 7 are still in process of training. In 2008 six habilitated researchers of CPS took part directly in the training of the post-graduate students as their directors of studies.

A traditional way of participation in the education of specialists for CPS's research staff is the teaching activity performed by the research associates in the higher schools. Over the period 2002-2008, a total lot of 3200 classes of lectures and 1400 classes of seminars and exercises were given by 7 habilitated researchers, 3 research associates and 1 Junior expert.
CPS researchers gives lectures on 21 subjects associated with the following major subjects of study: Statistics and Demography and Sociology in 10 Bulgarian universities (Sofia University “St. K. Ohridski”, University of National and World Economy, University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy, Varna Economic University, Pleven Medical University, New Bulgarian University, Varna Free University, Burgas Free University, South-West University “N. Rilski”, Plovdiv University “P. Hilendarski”).
