    1988 1990: Research Grant for a joint project between the Bulgarian Academy of sciences and INED (France) on Comparative trends of Fertility in France and Bulgaria after World War II.

    1995 Open Society Research Grant to work on a project: Bulgarian Population between East and West. Institut Natonal dEtudes Démographiques, Paris, France. (3-months research grant).

    1993-1998 Participant in a research project on Gender Statistics (collecting and publishing data on this topic), financed by the Statistical Division of the UN, performed

by the Institute of Demography and the National Statistical Institute. Head of the survey Men and Women in Bulgaria during the Transition to market economy.

    1999 2002 - Consultant to US project on Reproductive Health in Bulgaria, including for the preparation and the analysis of the data from a representative survey on this topic.

    2002 Open Society Grant for participating in CRC Economic Session. CEU. Budapest, Hungary.

    2001 Research Grant from the Max Planck Institute for Population Research for a short research visit in the same institute (2 weeks). Research Project: Reproductive Health of Women in Bulgaria.
